We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of Long Lake General Store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating store events, and ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to retail management.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate store staff.
- Foster a positive, productive, and customer-focused work environment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stock control.
- Ensure merchandise is displayed effectively and store standards are maintained.
- Plan, organize, and oversee in-store events, promotions, and community activities.
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve business goals.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Prepare reports on sales, inventory, staffing, and event outcomes.
- Manage store budgets and control operating expenses.
Qualifications
- Previous retail management or store management experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems and stock control.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to plan and coordinate events and promotional activities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
