Anmar is currently seeking an Senior Draftsman / Detailer to join our team!

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with great analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage detailed 3D models of structural steel projects in Tekla Structures.
  • Generate fabrication and erection drawings, CNC data, and reports.
  • Interpret and implement design drawings, specifications, and engineering markups.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and shop supervisors to resolve design issues.
  • Review shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD for 2D drafting, layout, and reference coordination as required.
  • Maintain drawing organization, revision tracking, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Assist in developing and standardizing internal detailing procedures and templates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in steel detailing or drafting within a fabrication or engineering environment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Tekla Structures (3D modeling, connections, drawings, and reports).
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D drawings and reference integration.
  • Familiarity with CISC/AISC standards and steel fabrication shop practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural design drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Assets (Preferred)

  • Experience with Trimble PowerFab or other production management software.
  • Understanding of fabrication workflows and CNC output data.
  • Background in platework, miscellaneous metals, or industrial structures.
  • Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
