Anmar Mechanical and Electrical Contractors Ltd. is currently seeking an Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join our team!
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in an accounting and payroll role, preferably in a medium-sized organization
- Experience processing payroll and understanding payroll legislation and compliance
- Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (e.g., QuickBooks, Pivot, or similar ERP systems)
- Experience processing US payroll, including multi-state payroll and compliance, considered a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Process bi-weekly/weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legislation
- Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, benefits, and remittances
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including ROEs, T4s, and union remittances
- Enter and reconcile accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Maintain accurate financial and employee records
- Respond to payroll and accounting inquiries from employees and management
- Support other administrative and accounting duties as required
